Well.... at least there was NO WOMEN in the first episode last night.... just a blubbery Murray'esque Saffa who should have been on the X factor rather than training to bayonet men... glad he's gone...

it was embarrassing when he let the black bird carry the two rucksacks and the tyres, while he made out the log was too much

I honestly thought he was going to get sparked right out when he told him to either man up of fuck off! You could almost sense Ant was trying to defuse what was becoming a dodgy situation. That Sam needs to be given a cheeky slap.

was also very funny when they did the head first abseiling and the staff couldn't help piss themselves at the way they walked down the cliff/wall

love that program and the celeb one has been just as good, especially the grief Sam Thompson has got.

"i'm not your fucking mate"
"i'll rip that arm band off you and rip your arm off with it"

Sam is a complete dick.

Definitely have Billy down as being the biggest loon out of all of them, closely followed by Ant.

Jeff Brazier clearly has no problem about getting his cock out in front of a few birds either!

It's a fairly 'by the numbers' dramatisation of the Iranian Embassy siege.......but with a surprisingly good cast ( Mark Strong, Jamie Bell)

Re training recruits, parachute regiment sergeants have been attached to the royal marines to train recruits or run junior command courses (for corporals).

Therefore it probably works the other way. However they have to be at least a sergeant and would have made it to an even higher rank, so would have served at least 15 years. In addition to represent RM as an instructor with the Paras means they have to be very good.

Not sure if this helps you though?

Read a book about the SAS called ‘Soldier I’ a fair few years ago. From what I can remember it concentrated mainly on the Iran embassy siege and battle of Mirbat in Oman. I think it’s recently been updated, but the original was a fucking cracking read. Highly recommended.

haven't read it yet but recently bought SAS : ROGUE HEROES

This is indeed an excellent book... it inspired me to read Fitroy McLean's Eastern Approaches. A very different type of book but absolutely fascinating about his time In Yugoslavia with Tito's partisans.

There were some fucking amazing people around in WW2 who did not shy away and rose to the challenge, that is for sure!
